The biggest congratulations to our 6 gymnasts who competed in the 2026 Scottish Gymnastics Women’s Artistic Championships! 🎉
We are beyond proud of all these gymnasts and the dedication they put into their gymnastics. Their drive and enthusiasm is fantastic and the confidence they brought to the competition was outstanding. The girls all held their nerves well and performed beautifully, showing off great artistry and execution.😍
Our Aspire competitors:
First up was our Aspire gymnasts. This was their first time competing in the Scottish Champs and they all smashed it. Naomi showed off her turning vault in comp for the first time, and performed a lovely 1.5 twist on floor. Olivia competed her new bar routine including her toe on to handstand for the first time and her leaps and jumps were just beautiful to watch. Haipei had a clean competition and competed her new backwards twist on the floor for the first time as well as her round off dismount on Beam. Tola smashed her tuck back on the beam and her floor tumbles were so powerful yet controlled which was brilliant to watch. Tola also qualified for the Vault finals after competing both a tuck tsukahara and a pike. Congratulations to all four girls for smashing their first Scottish Championships- we couldn’t be prouder!👏
Our Junior and Senior competitors:
On day 2 we had Orla C competing in the Junior category and then Orla S competing as a senior. This was Orla C’s first time competing in the Scottish Championships as well and she did a fabulous job. She performed her new flip tuck on beam, her 1.5 twist on floor and her sky high turning vault. This was also Orla’s first time showcasing her new floor routine which was beautiful to see. In the Afternoon, Orla S took to the floor and had an amazing competition. She nailed her beam routine, showcasing her flip layout with no falls, caught her jaeger on the bars and landed her powerful pike tsukahara. Both girls were just outstanding to watch perform and they had such a positive experience. 🔥
Congratulations again to all our gymnasts and a big thank you to everyone who came along to watch and support. What a fabulous start to the 2026 competitions for team DGC2K!❤️
